Hey y’all!

Amie A HillThanks for stopping by. My name is Amie Rich. I am a Silver leader with Young Living and a single mama of two teens and a four-legged fur baby named Stitch. Yes, I admit it. I am the crazy oil lady. I am constantly learning and seeking ways to improve our health and to remove the toxins in our everyday routines.

I started my oily journey in August of 2014 during a tough time in my life. I was seeking safer products for me and my kiddos; along with trying to figure out who the “future” Amie was, and now, is. It was a time in my life where I needed to find stability, some financial security and a positive sense of well being. Well, like I do with most things, I dove head first into my kids and the science of essential oils. What are essential oils and how do they work? How can they help me reduce, or replace, products that I am buying but shouldn’t have around my kids. Yep, my kids are my why! They are why I do what I do everyday.

As I write this, my daughter is 15 and my son is 18. They are healthy, thriving children who are active in all things school, creativity, martial arts and social media. My son was diagnosed with ADHD in the 2nd grade, and is another main reason why I submerged myself with the desire to know more. Both of my kids use oils. My daughter makes diffuser jewelry and samples them will tons of oils. They each fill their bedroom diffusers with their sleepy oils of choice each night, and necessary oils needed during the day. My son often smells like a yummy stick of peppermint gum. He has been know to use peppermint, to as we say “calm the butterflies”. Anxiety and constant worrying is part of ADHD, and so is impulsivity. He uses oils when he needs a little extra help.

Another huge part of my life is my husband and his three girls. We are the perfect blended family. He is my anchor, my best friend, number one cheerleader, oil advocate and willing guinea pig. He also uses oils everyday. As a business owner, his work is stressful and very laborious. It’s hard back-breaking work. His oils of choice are “Relieve It” for pain; “Peace and Calming” for bedtime; and “Idaho Blue Spruce” when he just wants to smell yummy. Ha!

So basically I am an open book, but enough about me. First and foremost, I am mom helping other moms find healthier alternatives.
